AthleteRegistry.org

1. Eligibility and Purpose

AthleteRegistry.org is intended solely for individuals who are or were varsity athletes at a United States four-year college or university. To register you must:

• Be a current or former varsity athlete at a four-year U.S. institution.
• Submit only your own information using your own email address.
• Agree to the terms described herein.
• Register only once.

We reserve the right to remove or restrict any submission that appears duplicated, invalid or fraudulent at our discretion in order to maintain the integrity of the registry.

2. Information We Collect

When you register, you voluntarily provide information such as:

• Your name
• Your contact email
• Your sport(s)
• Your university
• Academic information such as degree type and track
• Scholarship or participation details
• Honors or distinctions
• State or country of residence
• Other nonidentifying metrics used for aggregated analysis

You may also choose to provide optional narrative content, such as statements about your athletic experience or ideas regarding the future of college sports.

We do not collect social security numbers, banking information, income, or any financial data.

3. Use of Your Information

By registering, you agree that:

• Your name-free and personal-identifier-free data may be included in the national database of athlete-submitted information and displayed on AthleteRegistry.org as aggregated insights, counts, percentages and daily update metrics.
• You are also pre-registering for a HERO waitlist, which will allow you to activate your HERO account once available. HERO is a developing fintech application designed to let athletes voluntarily support the sport they competed in at their alma mater, once their institution onboards with HERO.
• AthleteRegistry.org and HERO Fintech may use anonymized, nonidentifying data to develop future products or services that further support the athlete community. Our platform and offerings may evolve or grow over time, and your anonymized data may be used as part of these improvements.
• No personally identifying information will ever be shared publicly or with third parties without your explicit opt-in approval.
• Aggregated, de-identified information may be used internally, presented in dashboards, or shared in nonidentifiable formats that preserve your privacy.

4. Communications You Agree to Receive

When you register you agree to receive communications from AthleteRegistry.org or HERO Fintech including:

• HERO onboarding invitations when product features become available
• Invitations to participate in athlete-driven surveys
• Periodic messages intended to support the mission of improving the future of college athletics
• Discount codes, raffles, early access opportunities or offers from national partners or your alma mater's partners. These communications will only come from AthleteRegistry.org or HERO Fintech. Your information will not be given to any third party for direct outreach without your explicit opt-in consent.

You may unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time, though certain system notifications may be necessary for account functionality.

5. Optional Narrative Submissions

If you voluntarily submit narrative content such as testimonials, ideas, impact statements, or survey responses:

• AthleteRegistry.org and HERO Fintech will not attribute your name or personal identity to any publicly posted statement.
• We may choose to display or not display this content on testimonial pages, athlete idea pages, or future website sections.
• We reserve the right to edit, decline to post or remove any narrative submission.
• You agree not to name identifiable individuals in your submissions. Any submission containing personal identifiers of others will not be eligible for public posting.

If you do not agree with these terms, you should not submit optional narrative content.

6. Future Use and Flexibility

The ecosystem of college athletics is continually evolving. By registering you allow AthleteRegistry.org and HERO Fintech to use your anonymized, nonidentifying data in future products or services intended to support current and former athletes, their alma maters and the broader college sports environment. As our products grow or expand, anonymized data may be incorporated in new ways consistent with the mission of improving the athlete experience.

Any future use will continue to exclude disclosure of your personal identifying information without your opt-in approval.

7. Accuracy of Metrics Displayed

Metrics presented on AthleteRegistry.org are based solely on voluntarily submitted data from a subset of current and former four-year college athletes. These metrics:

• Do not represent a complete count of all current or former four-year college athletes
• Do not include athletes from two-year or junior college programs
• Should be interpreted as directional trends among participating athletes
• Are not confirmed or validated by universities or conferences

For context, there are approximately 600,000 current four-year varsity athletes in any given year and more than 10 million former athletes. The registry reflects only the information provided by athletes who have voluntarily elected to participate. As more athletes join, the accuracy and representativeness of the metrics will improve.

Members of the media or other external parties reviewing or reporting on these insights should consider the volume of submissions before drawing conclusions and should avoid overstating representativeness until a substantial portion of athletes have contributed. To help build a clearer picture of the national and local landscape, we encourage all athletes to invite teammates and friends from other institutions to participate.

8. Ownership of Data and Prohibition on Scraping or Commercial Use

All datasets, metrics, aggregated insights, visualizations, structures, narrative content and design elements on AthleteRegistry.org are the proprietary property of AthleteRegistry.org and HERO Fintech.

You agree that:

• You will not scrape, harvest, copy, index, mine, extract or otherwise collect data from AthleteRegistry.org for commercial, research, machine learning or publication purposes without explicit written permission.
• You will not reproduce, distribute, commercialize or create derivative works from the data or metrics presented on the site.
• Any media outlet or individual referencing or reporting on data obtained from AthleteRegistry.org agrees to read this policy in full and to credit AthleteRegistry.org clearly and visibly in any such reporting.

Unauthorized extraction or commercial use of this data is strictly prohibited.

9. Our Responsibilities and Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information to the best of your knowledge
• Submit only your own data
• Not impersonate others or submit fraudulent or harmful content
• Not interfere with the functionality or security of AthleteRegistry.org

We may remove any data that appears incorrect, harmful or inconsistent with the integrity of the registry.

10. Protection of Your Information

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your data. While we work to maintain a secure environment, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely free of risk. By using the platform, you acknowledge that AthleteRegistry.org and HERO Fintech are not liable for unauthorized access, disclosure or alteration of data that occurs despite the use of reasonable safeguards.

We will not sell, transfer or provide your personal identifying information to any third party, including any college or university, without your opt-in consent.

11. Deleting Your Information

You may request deletion of your information at any time by contacting the email address listed at the end of this document. Once verified, we will delete or anonymize your data unless retention is required by applicable law.

We may also delete your submission at our discretion if it appears inaccurate or fraudulent.

12. Intellectual Property

All platform design, code, data structures, content, visualizations and analytics are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

13. Service Changes and Availability

AthleteRegistry.org may modify, improve or discontinue features at any time as the platform evolves. While we aim for accuracy and accessibility, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AthleteRegistry.org and HERO Fintech disclaim liability for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the registry or related communications, including damages arising from unauthorized access or disclosure despite the use of reasonable safeguards.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute must first be submitted in writing to the contact email provided below. Both parties will have 90 days to attempt resolution. If unresolved after 90 days, the dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration conducted under the rules of a recognized arbitration service. You agree to be responsible for arbitration-related costs unless otherwise required by law. Class or collective actions are waived.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and, where applicable, the laws of the jurisdiction in which HERO Fintech operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17. Updates to These Terms

We may revise or update this combined Terms of Service and Privacy Notice from time to time. Continued use of AthleteRegistry.org after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
